FAQ: Why aren't spaces showing up on my location cards or lists?
If your map cards or location lists builder have fields placed next to each other, they won't render empty space.
The fix
Use one of two dedicated field types instead of typing a blank space:
- Space: adds a blank space between two values, with nothing else. It shows up in the builder as a small ␣ chip. Use it when you just need a gap, for example between a city and a postal code.
- Text: adds your own static text between fields, for example a separator like
,or a label likeTel:.
INFO
Typing only a space into a Text field automatically converts it into a Space field. If the field has other content, any spaces inside it (like the one after that comma) are kept exactly as typed.
Adding a Space or Text field
- Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Appearance & Search.
- Select Adjust map cards or Modify map location lists.
- Click Add field on the line where you want the gap or separator.
- Choose Space for a blank gap, or Text to type your own content.
- Drag it into place between the two fields it should separate.
- Click Save.
