Google Maps
Google Maps is the map provider that uses your own Google Maps Platform credentials. You create an API key in Google Cloud, enable the required APIs, and save the key in Store Locator.
What it means
- Your own API key — Maps and geocoding run through your Google Cloud project and billing.
- Choose it in Settings — Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Map provider, select Google Maps, then add your API key.
When to use it
Use Google Maps if you prefer Google Maps on the storefront, need Google Maps Platform features, or already manage a Google Cloud project.
Setup guides
- Add Google Maps API to Store Locator — create a project, enable APIs, and save your key.
- API key restrictions — limit key use to your storefront domains.
- Enabling Autocomplete — enable Places APIs if you use Autocomplete with Google Maps.
After your key is set up, configure search toggles under Search settings.
