Enabling Autocomplete on Google Maps Platform
When Google Maps is your map provider, Autocomplete needs the Places APIs enabled on your Google Cloud project. Turn the feature on in Search settings after the APIs are ready.
Enabling APIs
This feature requires the Places API enabled on your Google Maps API. For more on this, see Add Google Maps API to Store Locator. To view your list of enabled APIs:
- Go to the Google Maps Platform.
- Select APIs & Services in the left-hand sidebar.
- From the list of APIs on the Dashboard, look for Places API and Places API (New).
- Select Enable for both APIs.
WARNING
Using Autocomplete with Google Maps may use multiple calls per search to ensure results are returned. Keep monitoring your Google Cloud console usage and billing.
Store Locator setup
Once you have made sure the APIs are enabled:
- From your Store Locator admin, go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Search settings.
- Toggle Autocomplete on.
- Save changes. Autocomplete is now enabled on your store's map.
