Add & edit store locations

This section explains how to add new locations to Store Locator and how to edit existing ones. The location form covers all details from basic info to working hours, tags, groups, custom fields, and product associations.

Adding a new location

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Store Locator > Locations.
  2. Click the Add location button.
  3. Fill in the location form (see the section below).
  4. When you have made changes, click Save.

Location form sections

  • Store image — upload a store image (maximum 1MB). This image appears in the location card on your map. Available on eligible plans.
  • Location details — Name (required), Address Line 1, Address Line 2. Start typing an address in the Google Autocomplete bar to auto-fill address and regional fields.
  • Regional details — City (required), Country (required, dropdown), State/Province (dropdown, updates based on country), Postal/Zip Code.
  • Contact information — Phone, Fax, Display Email, Contact form Email, Website URL.
  • Working hours — choose a template or set custom working hours for individual locations.
  • Search tags — click the tag picker to select from existing search tags, or type a new tag name and add it inline. Available on eligible plans.
  • Location groups — click the group picker to assign this location to one group. Available on eligible plans.
  • Custom fields — click the field picker to select existing custom fields and enter values, or create a new field inline. Available on eligible plans.
  • Adjust store location — click Find My Store to automatically geocode the address, or enter latitude and longitude values manually for precise pin placement.
  • Where to buy — associate Shopify products with this location so customers can see where to purchase specific products. Products can also be bulk-assigned to many locations at once from the Locations table.

Editing an existing location

  1. Go to Apps > Store Locator > Locations.
  2. Click any row in the locations table to open that location's edit page.
  3. Make your changes.
  4. Click Save.

Hiding or showing a location

  1. Go to Apps > Store Locator > Locations.
  2. Click any row in the locations table to open that location's edit page.
  3. Use the Hide or Show button in the secondary actions area to toggle visibility without deleting the location.
  4. Click Save.

Visibility can also be toggled in bulk or individually directly from the Locations table.
