Setting up Location groups
Location groups let you organise your store locations into named categories with customisable pin colours and optional expiry dates.
Creating a location group
- Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Location groups.
- Click Create group.
- Enter a group name.
- Choose a pin colour using the colour picker.
- Optionally set an expiry (Hide After X days) to automatically hide this group's locations after a set number of days.
- Click Save.
Editing a location group
- Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Location groups.
- In the Location groups table, click the group you want to edit.
- The editing modal opens pre-filled with the current name, pin colour, and assigned locations.
- Make your changes and click Save.
Enabling and disabling location groups
Groups can be toggled individually using the switch in the table.
- Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Location groups.
- Use the tabs (All / Enabled / Disabled) to filter the view.
- Click Save to apply after toggling.
Assigning groups to locations
Groups can be assigned for individual stores and in bulk.
Individual location assignment
- Go to Locations.
- Click any row in the locations table to open that location's edit page.
- Find the Location groups section.
- Enter the group name.
- Click the Select button.
- Click Save. The group is applied to that specific location immediately.
Bulk assignment
- Go to Apps > Store Locator > Settings > Location groups.
- Click Create group (for a new group) or click an existing group to open the edit modal.
- In the modal, find the location assignment section.
- Search for and select all locations you want to assign this group to.
- Click Save. The group is applied to all selected locations immediately.
INFO
- The bulk assignment feature is reserved for higher-tier plans. See the pricing page.
- Drag and drop groups in the table to change the order in which their locations are displayed on the map.
- Select multiple groups using checkboxes to bulk delete, bulk enable, or bulk disable.
- Location groups cannot be edited or added on individual location pages.
- Each location can belong to only one group. Assigning a group to a location already in a different group moves it to the new group.
- Groups not assigned to visible locations are not displayed to customers on the map.
- Hidden location groups are not displayed.
- Customers cannot filter or narrow their search by group, unlike search tags. Groups are for pin colour and organisation, not filtering.
- Your map automatically shows a legend listing each group's name and pin colour, so customers can tell them apart.
